Merritt and Brian stand about two feet across from each other in the currently abandoned spar arena. Maria,
having followed Brian, and Cody, having followed Merritt, watch on silently from the bleachers. Brian grins.
"Ready, Bitch?"
Merritt smirks and smiles, relaxing his shoulders and standing loosely in his own fighting stance as Brian slides
down into his own.
"Whenever you are, princess."
"Hitting on me again?"
"I regret nothing."
As Merritt finishes his exclamation, he thrusts his knee to Brian's gut, who swiftly jolts to his side. Merritt's knee catches nothing but air and is suddenly hit by a missile of energy in his face. Merritt leans back from the recoil, and doesn't have time to react the second missile of the tri-blast, and is hit in the stomach. Merritt falls to the ground from the blast, and the third missile flys over him.
Brian smirks, standing over Merritt with his arms crossed.
"I thought you were ready, fucker?"
Merritt glows blue as Brian finishes his sentence, pushing himself up quickly and slamming his knee into Brian's chin. Brian takes a step back, his head still raised, shocked from the sudden blow. As Merritt lands, he jumps and cycles his legs once, karate kicking Brian hard in the chest. Brian flys back and Merritt shoots a Kikha blast before Brian hits the ground.
Before Brian bounces off the arena floor, he extends his arms and flips away before the Kikha slams into him. Before Brian lands on his feet, he disappears. Merritt looks around slowly and cautiously, taking a few steps forward before being caught off-guard. Brian reappears in front of Merritt suddenly and grabs him by his collar, thrusting his head into Merritt's repeatedly. The first strike makes full contact and Merritt's skull rebounds off of Brians. The second headbutt misses as Merritt regains himself quickly and moves his head the other way. Brian thrusts his head at Merritt again, who moves his head in the opposite direction. Merritt pushes Brian off of him just as Brian moves in to headbutt him a fourth time, and Brian only makes half-contact.
Merritt closes his eyes as his head throbs in pain, throwing a blind right hook at Brian's face. Brian effortlessly moves out of the way, but is caught by suprise as Merritt's left skims off Brian's chin. Still surprised by the sneak attack, Brian attempts to block a third punch and is caught off-guard as Merritt's knee catches him in the gut.
Brian falls to his back, seemingly in pain from the knee, but extends his legs out as Merritt dashes to tackle him, and flips Merritt over him. Merritt twists and lands on his feet, which gives Brian enough time to roll back, clasp his hands, and spin them around to slam them into Merritt's skull. Merritt is sent flying to his right and hits the ground in a daze. As Brian's fists make contact with Merritt's face, Brian fires a barrage of missiles towards's Merritt's body. Each of six missle hit Merritt, sending him further sliding along the ground.
Merritt's aura kicks in, doing his best to gather some energy and struggles to stand up. The instant Merritt gets to his feet, Brian's shoulder makes contact, and sends him flying into the wall behind him. Merritt bounces off the wall and throws his foot to kick Brian off of him, who jumps back and lets Merritt's foot cut through nothing but the air. Merritt drops his leg to the ground, his hands held towards Brian and launches two large Kikha blasts.
Brian grins as Merritt's kick misses completely, but is caught by surprise as one of the blasts slam into his chest solidly. Brian is sent airebourne, the second blast shooting right under him and exploding on the opposite wall Merritt was tackled into.
Brian lays motionless on the ground, smoke rising from his body. Merritt grins in relief, dropping his guard and approaching Brian, who lies face up.
Merritt raises an eyebrow, silently trying to discipher what Brian tries to say.
"You okay, man?"
In one swift motion, Brians feet come to Merritt's chin. Merritt takes a step back in surprise and is met with a long string of punches to his face and gut as Brian wails out on him.
Merritt hits the ground as Brian drains the remaining strength out of him, and knocks him unconcious.
"Bitch!"
